By using China on Foot you agree to these terms. They are short, so please read them.
Walk at your own risk
Our walks are self-guided suggestions. You are responsible for your own safety: watch the traffic, follow local laws and signs, respect private property and places of worship, and don't start a route you're unsure you can finish. Cities change quickly. Lanes are rebuilt, gates close and opening hours move. Check before you go, and use your own judgement on the ground.
Accuracy
We walk every route and work to keep them right, but we can't promise that every map, time, distance or description is accurate or up to date. If you find a mistake, please tell us through the contact form or at contact@chinaonfoot.com.
Buying a walk
- Some walks cost a one-time payment, shown in USD before you pay. Payments are made through PayPal.
- After paying you get a personal access link, by email and on screen. It opens the walk on any device. Keep it to yourself: a link shared publicly may be replaced.
- A walk you bought stays yours for as long as we run the site, including updates to that walk.
- If something is wrong with a walk you bought, contact us and we'll put it right. Refunds are made through PayPal, and after a refund the access link stops working.
Our content
The walks, their texts and photos, and the design of the site belong to China on Foot. You're welcome to use them on your own walks and to share links to them. Please don't copy, resell or republish them. Map data belongs to its owners, listed on the credits page.
Links and other services
We link to other websites and use services such as PayPal. We aren't responsible for their content or how they work.
Our responsibility
The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, China on Foot isn't liable for any loss, injury or damage that comes from using the site or following a walk. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
